Vadodara to Saputara is about 275 to 280 kilometres, and the drive usually takes five to six hours depending on traffic through Surat and the condition of the ghat road near the end. Leaving early morning, by 6 or 7 AM, gets you there in time for lunch and a full afternoon at Sunset Point.

Plenty of people just want to get to Saputara and either stay a few days or arrange their own return, maybe combining it with Statue of Unity or heading further into Maharashtra. Gira Waterfalls is worth the detour only in monsoon and just after, it’s dry the rest of the year, so ask your driver before adding it to the plan.
